Company foundation Gebrüder Voit

  • The company Gebrüder Voit was founded in 1885 by the brothers Robert and Paul Voit in Nürnberg. From paper wholesaling, the company very soon moved to paper converting. It started with the production of bags in various shapes and sizes, to which other types of packaging were soon added. In response to customer requests, the company added its own printing shop, which gave rise to the two independent business areas of filter bag production and printing that still exist today.

  • In 1920, Robert Voit’s son-in-law – Paul Welck – took over the company.

1945

Zufuhrstraße

  • In 1945, the property in Zufuhrstraße was completely destroyed in the course of the 2nd World War.
    Reconstruction in Salgestraße soon led to Flußstraße due to lack of space.

1961

Margarethe and Wolfgang Welck

  • In 1961, Margarethe and her husband Wolfgang Welck take control of the company.

1969

Move to the Röthensteig

  • Thanks to short distances in our modern location at Röthensteig, we as a manufacturer are prepared for all requirements. Printers, die cutters and bookbinders work hand in hand here to implement customer wishes.

1995

Michael Welck & TÜV certification

  • In 1995, the son of Margarethe and Wolfgang Welck – Michael Welck – takes over the company.
  • Our company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001. This integrated management system serves to continuously improve our processes and creates transparency in all operating procedures.

2005

New photovoltaic plant

  • With the solar power plant of 1600m², which was put into operation in 2005, we actively protect the environment and conserve resources for future generations.

2013

Company expansion

  • With the construction of a new warehouse in 2013, we set the course for the future of the company. Nowadays, flexibility is one of the main criteria for success. The newly created space helps us to better balance out fluctuations in the market.

2017

Environment certification

  • The ISO 14001 environmental management system was added to the existing ISO 9001 quality management standard in 2017.
